JURIED ART GALLERY
AUGUST 19-22, 2010 Campbell’s Park Room
The Lake Chelan Fine Arts Festival is excited to include, as part of the Festival, the first annual Juried Art Gallery. Artists from throughout the Northwest are invited to submit original works of art to be displayed and sold in the Gallery. The Juried Art Gallery will be located at Campbell's Park Room from August 19 to 22. The opening Gala on August 19 will kick off the Festival and Gallery. All items selected for the Gallery will be juried by a qualified panel of jurors which includes Susan Waite, Painting, Richard Uhlhorn, Photography and Martha Lowe, Artisan .
CATEGORIES
Paintings
: oil, acrylic, tempera, pastel, gouache, watercolor, fresco, airbrush, batik, encaustic, collage, and mixed media with painting dominant.
Prints
: relief prints (linocut, woodcut, metal block & reduction), dry point, aquatint metal or plastic), intaglio (engraving, acid etching, embossing, mezzotint, lithography or planograph, serigraph (silkscreen or stencil) and collograph.
Photography
: film, digital or altered images originating from a film or digital camera.
Drawings
: graphite, pen and ink, colored pencil, chalk, crayon, conte & silverpoint.
Artisan:
sculpture (bronze, metal, wood, mixed media) glass, ceramics, baskets, fiber, jewelry and mixed media.
Miniatures:
media specifications as above except for size limitations as noted under specification section.

SUBMISSIONS
Conditions & Rules
Up to three pieces of art may be entered.
A nonreturnable entry fee of $10 for one piece and $20 for two or more pieces must be included with the application.
All entries must be for sale. Items priced with the intent not to sell will not be accepted.
A 25% commission will be taken and will go to the Lake Chelan Arts Council.
Entries must be original and en-tirely the work of the entrant. No copies or reproductions will be ac-cepted.
Work must be no older than two years and art must be entered and sold as presented in the application and image.
Art will be juried from the submit-ted digital images. Awards will be juried from original work.
The utmost care will be taken in handling artwork to prevent loss or damage, however, artists assume all liability for their entries.
Miniatures will be judged from im-ages. Entry Fee up to 4 entries $15.
ARTWORK SPECIFICATION
Paintings, prints, drawings, and photographs
Entries must be suitably finished and wired for hanging.
Outside frame size shall be no larger than 44 inches x 40 inches .
Artisan and Miniatures
Must be suitably finished for proper display.
Artisan work must be no larger than 36 inches by 46 inches.
Miniatures must not exceed 25 square. inches and maximum frame must be no larger than 48 square inches.
Image Specifications
Digital JPEG images, sent via e-mail or on a CD, will be accepted. Slides will not be accepted.
Images must be of the highest quality in order to be juried.
Provide one image for each piece submitted.
File name format should be: last name -first name-title.jpg e.g. Jones Bill Chelan Sunset.
